We only use Pinot Noir grapes to produce this classic dry Rosé. We sourced grapes for this wine from vines that have been intentionally farmed to produce more tons per acre than other blocks, thus minimizing the development of overly ripe, juicy flavors, and preventing high phenolics from appearing in the Rosé. Additionally, we harvest the grapes earlier when the acids are higher, so we are able to create a bright, delicate style Rosé.
Perfect for all things summer! Dungeness crab cakes, grilled zucchini and asparagus, and the classic brunch staple, eggs Florentine!
Our 2019 Dundee Hills Estate Chardonnay has notes of candied lemon peel, yellow apple, and honeydew, as well as vanilla and yellow flowers. On the palate, the yellow apple remains, but the lemon evolves to Meyer lemon zest, and the honeydew becomes more like cantaloupe. Additionally, there is a delightful note of vanilla and butter on the palate to round it out. This wine pairs beautifully with baked halibut, shrimp scampi, and crab cakes with Bearnaise sauce.
The label showcases Sokol Blosser’s long-time support of the Prescott Western Bluebird Recovery Project, with a pen-and-ink style image of a Western Bluebird. For more than 20 years, Sokol Blosser has offered needed shelter and support to preserve a breeding habitat for Western Bluebirds, with 15 bird houses on its organically farmed property.
The Bluebird Cuvée Brut Sparkling is designated as a Brut level of sweetness. The nose of this wine is expressive with fresh lemon, under-ripe pear and minerality, complemented by white flowers. On the palate this wine is bright and crisp, as the lemon and pear shine through. We recommend pairing this wine with fresh oysters, fried chicken, or even crispy potatoes.
There is a long history between Sokol Blosser and Hyland Vineyards. The previous owners of Hyland Vineyards used to be part owners of Sokol Blosser Winery, and that ownership ended in 1997 when the Sokol Blosser family successfully bought them out. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Sokol Blosser routinely made Pinot Noir from Hyland fruit.
On the nose, Hyland shows beautiful red cherry and raspberry notes, balanced with accents of leather and toast. On the palate, the fruit profile continues to stand out, but it is complemented by a dusty nutmeg. Hyland pairs beautifully with a wild mushroom frittata or pan seared salmon with beurre rouge sauce.
Twelve-Row Block rests just North of Peach Tree Block and West of Orchard Block. It is one of the original sites planted by the Sokol Blosser Family in the 1970s. The family thought they were sold the classic Pommard clone Pinot Noir vines back in the 70’s but they turned out to be an atypical clone of Pinot Noir called Martini clone, but internally it is referred to as the Twelve-Row Clone.
Pair with roast lamb shanks with garlic potatoes, or even a perfectly seared New York strip with a creamy wild mushroom sauce.
Our Dundee Hills Estate Pinot Noir captures and expresses the delicate fruit characteristics associated with this varietal, and we balance that with structure and age-ability.
Our 2016 vintage exhibits aromas of fresh cherries and raspberries. The palate is rich with pie cherries, baking spices and a hint of baked earth. Soft tannins and raspberries linger on the finish. Enhanced by flavors of wild salmon, seared Ahi tuna, or grilled venison sausage. Also pairs extremely well with dishes containing duck, pork, or rack of lamb.
