Open Positions:

Regional Director of Sales

We are looking for a dynamic proven Director of Sales to join our amazing team. Our Regional Director of Sales will be successful in growing sales in our distribution channel through building relationships, telling our story, and motivating our distributors to achieve sales targets. We work hard and play hard, and we like each other!

This is a remote position with a specific territory and reports to the Vice President of Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual depletion, shipment, profit, and performance goals, while staying within a specified expense budget.
  • Establish and manage all market pricing and support budgets in your territory.
  • Design and implement creative sales incentive programs.
  • Interface with distributor partners at all levels (from executive management to street sales) on key business objectives for our brands, set and define priorities, communicate and measure KPI’s.
  • Meet regularly with distributors and key accounts to update and monitor goal accomplishment, new item introductions, and efficient & effective execution of programs.
  • Plan and implement sales to distributors by cultivating relationships, identifying opportunities, and managing key accounts.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with national, regional, and independent key accounts throughout your territory, including making presentations in conjunction with VP of Sales to on and off premise national and regional chains located within territory.
  • Assist and educate distributor account executives and sales representatives in drive to achieve goals in territory.
  • Assist the VP of Sales in the development of annual business plans and operating budgets.
  • Professionally represent Sokol Blosser brands by maintaining active involvement in trade tastings, distributor events, wine dinners and consumer events within your territory.
  • Maintain an open communication channel with the VP of Sales, team members, and Co-Presidents.
  • Always present and seek new sales opportunities for the Sokol Blosser and Evolution brands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent) preferred, with at least seven to ten years combined of distributor sales management and wine supplier experience.
  • Strong knowledge of and passion for wine and the wine business.
  • Thorough knowledge of the wine industry, including competitive brands, on/off/ecomm sales channels, industry jargon, syndicated data, and trends within the market.
  • Positive, can-do, solution-oriented, forward thinking perspective.
  • Proven relationship-builder with excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of distributor management and sales personnel.
  • A competent self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills and a drive to succeed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking and negotiating.
  • Demonstrated high level attention to detail with excellent follow through and reliability.
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities and varying levels of stress.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle and insurance required.
  • Overnight travel, weekend and evening work as required.

Position Comments

  • Ideal candidate brings strong relationships with current distributors of Sokol Blosser and accounts within the territory.
  • Current territory could include 10-15 states from the West to the Midwest – will be determined based on candidate’s experience.
  • This is a full-time, salaried position with weekend and evening work required throughout the year.
  • This is a virtual, home-office based role ideally located in CA or AZ; and will require regular travel throughout the specified territory.

Sous-Chef – Full Time

Our Sous Chef will assist our Chef to grow our Culinary program. Our Culinary program is in place to sell our wines through creative food combinations showing our love of wine and exposing its hidden secrets. Our collaborative culinary team is here to provide an amazing customer experience and connect customers to our story while selling liquid art.

Responsibilities

  • Portrays the winery’s image in the Tasting Room and Kitchen; presentation and delivery of an exceptional customer experience to every guest
  • Preps and serves food to the highest standards within our culinary team to develop localized, seasonal menus
  • Assists in all aspects with our onsite food program with a special focus on kitchen experiences, onsite catering as well as food & wine pairing to increase wine sales
  • Consult with team members regarding food pairings and wine dinner menus when Sokol Blosser is participating
  • Conduct and present solo Farm & Forage experience while the Chef is unable
  • Maintains the organization of the kitchen space and all areas where commercially sold food will be prepared; works closely with the Support Staff
  • Ensures compliance with FDA and state food handling requirements for anyone assisting with food prep or service
  • Assist with inventory count and order as needed: dishware, cutlery, cooking supplies, packaging supplies, dry goods and other foods as needed for the program

Requirements

  • 2 years of culinary training or background in food prep and/or hospitality experience required in a from scratch kitchen is preferred.
  • High school or GED graduate
  • Passionate about wine and the wine/food lifestyle
  • Excellent knife and kitchen utensil skills
  • Able to prioritize in a changing environment
  • Able to work well in a team environment and in close working conditions with employees and customers
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong reasoning, judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills

TR Associate – Part and Full Time

Our Tasting Room is looking to add tasting room associates to join us on our vineyard in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. Our team members are responsible for making sure we are providing a meaningful tasting experience to our guests.

Your days on the Estate include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging customers with knowledge of Sokol Blosser brands and products through our story
  • Providing a high level of hospitality and customer service while serving guests on-site
  • Actively pursuing and achieving team and individual sales goals
  • Hosting guest tours and private tastings if needed

TR Host – Part and Full Time

Our Tasting Room is looking to add a full-time host to join us on our vineyard in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. Our host is the face of Sokol Blosser who sets the tone for a meaningful tasting experience and ensures our guests are well taken care of.

Your days on the Estate include, but are not limited to:

  • Portraying the winery’s image in presentation of an exceptional customer experience
  • Setting the tone for an excellent customer experience and hospitality within the Tasting Room
  • Resolving customer concerns quickly and proactively
  • Promptly answering phones and in a professional manner
  • Keeping the reservation system straight and orchestrating the daily flow of the tasting room
  • Maintaining a clean environment and helps with ongoing cleanup of the tasting room

TR Support – Part and Full Time

Our Tasting Room is looking to add a support staff member to join us on our vineyard in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. Our support team is responsible for making sure our back of the house runs smooth in order ensure we are providing the best experience to our guests.

Your days on the Estate include, but are not limited to:

  • Preps and serves food to support our culinary program and wine sales
  • Assist with inventory count, stock and order as needed: dishware, cutlery, cooking supplies, packaging supplies, dry goods and other foods as needed for the program
  • Participate and maintain the organization of the kitchen
  • Fulfill wine purchase orders and assist guest with carrying their purchases
  • Clean, clear, and stock glassware and dishes
  • Clear glasses and dishes as needed from tables
  • Floor care; sweeping and mopping
  • Empty all trash and recycling as needed; removed from building and placed in the dumpster prior to departing
  • Assist in set up and take down of winery events including chairs, tables, service ware, tents, etc.
  • Assist in guiding guests to the proper tasting areas on site
