  • Regional Director of Sales (Central Division)

    We are looking for a dynamic proven Director of Sales to join our awesome team! Our Director of Sales will be successful in growing sales in our distribution channel through building relationships, telling our story, and motivating our distributors to achieve sales targets. We work hard and play hard, and we like each other!

    This is a remote position with a specific territory and reports to the Vice President of Sales.

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve annual depletion, shipment, profit, and performance goals, while staying within a specified expense budget
    • Establish and manage all market pricing and support budgets in your territory based on established target pricing parameters
    • Design and implement creative sales incentive programs
    • Interface with distributor partners at all levels (from executive management to street sales) on key business objectives for our brands, set and define priorities, communicate and measure KPI’s
    • Meet regularly with distributors and key accounts to update and monitor goal accomplishment, new item introductions, and efficient & effective execution of program
    • Manage and forecast inventories with distributors and track open orders accordingly
    • Monitor and code distributor Account Receivables invoices on a weekly basis
    • Plan and implement sales to distributors by cultivating relationships, identifying opportunities, and managing key accounts
    • Establish and cultivate relationships with national, regional, and independent key accounts throughout your territory, including making presentations in conjunction with VP of Sales to on and off premise national and regional chains located within territory
    • Assist and educate distributor account executives and sales representatives in drive to achieve goals in territory
    • Assist the VP of Sales in the development of annual business plans and operating budgets
    • Professionally represent Sokol Blosser brands by maintaining active involvement in trade tastings, distributor events, wine dinners and consumer events within your territory
    • Maintain an open and collaborative communication channel with the VP of Sales, team members, and Co-Presidents

     

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience
    • Minimum of 7-10 years combined of both Distributor Sales Management and multi-state Regional Wine Supplier Management experience is required
    • Strong knowledge of and passion for wine and the wine business
    • Thorough knowledge of the wine industry, including competitive brands, on/off/ecomm sales channels, industry jargon, syndicated data, and trends within the market
    • Exhibits and embodies our values: Persevering, Resourceful, Teamwork, Adaptable and Accountable.
    • Positive, can-do, solution-oriented, forward-thinking perspective
    • Proven relationship-builder with excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity
    • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of distributor management and sales personnel
    • A competent self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills and a drive to succeed
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills, public speaking and negotiating
    • Demonstrated high level attention to detail with excellent follow through and reliability
    • Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities and varying levels of stress
    • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 45 pounds
    • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
    • Valid driver’s license, vehicle and insurance required
    • Overnight travel, weekend and evening work as required
    • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and various virtual meeting programs
    • Experience using depletion/shipment reporting systems and proficiency in creating reports to track and update distributors and VP of Sales on regional business (ex. VIP iDig, MicroStrategy)

    Position Comments

    • Ideal candidate brings strong relationships with current distributors of Sokol Blosser and accounts within the territory
    • Current territory includes AR, CO, IA, IL, KS, KY, LA, MN, MO, ND, NE, NM, OK, SD, TX, WI
    • This is a full-time, salaried position with weekend and evening work required throughout the year
    • This is a virtual, home-office based role ideally located near a major airport in major market locations of TX (DFW, HOU, SA-A), MN (Minneapolis-St Paul) or IL (Chicago)
    • Requires up to 50% travel throughout the specified territory and also to Oregon

  • TR Support - Full-Time & Part-Time

    Our Tasting Room is looking to add a support staff member to join us on our vineyard in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. Our support team is responsible for making sure our back of the house runs smooth in order ensure we are providing the best experience to our guests.

    Your days on the Estate include, but are not limited to:

    • Preps and serves food to support our culinary program and wine sales
    • Assist with inventory count, stock and order as needed: dishware, cutlery, cooking supplies, packaging supplies, dry goods and other foods as needed for the program
    • Participate and maintain the organization of the kitchen
    • Fulfill wine purchase orders and assist guest with carrying their purchases
    • Clean, clear, and stock glassware and dishes
    • Clear glasses and dishes as needed from tables
    • Floor care; sweeping and mopping
    • Empty all trash and recycling as needed; removed from building and placed in the dumpster prior to departing
    • Assist in set up and take down of winery events including chairs, tables, service ware, tents, etc.
    • Assist in guiding guests to the proper tasting areas on site

    Looking for a key player who has:

    • Kitchen and dishwashing experience
    • Able to work well in a team environment
    • Able to prioritize and stay organized
    • Able to lift and carry 45 lbs.
    • Must be able to stand, bend, reach, twist and move for long periods of time
    • Must be able to work weekends and evenings throughout the year
    • Able to use a knife and other apparatuses to prepare and serve food
    • Able to use kitchen cooking equipment
    • Possess or able to obtain an OLCC server’s permit and food handler’s card

    Positions Filled

    Our Tasting Room is looking to add tasting room associates to join us on our vineyard in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. Our team members are responsible for making sure we are providing a meaningful tasting experience to our guests.

    Your days on the estate include, but are not limited to:

    • Engaging customers with knowledge of Sokol Blosser brands and products through our story
    • Providing a high level of hospitality and customer service while serving guests on-site
    • Actively pursuing and achieving team and individual sales goals
    • Hosting guest tours and private tastings if needed

    Looking for a key player who has:

    • Passion for delivery of hospitality experiences in wine, retail, restaurant, etc.
    • An interest about wine and the wine/food lifestyle
    • Working knowledge or wants to learn about Oregon wines
    • Skills to work well in a team environment
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and communication skills
    • Creative thinking skills and can think outside the box
