Your friendly Sokol Blosser team grows

The last year brought incredible change to our winery both in our physical spaces, new wines, and team member advancements and additions.  Most significantly, Alex Sokol Blosser became our Winemaker, taking over from Russ Rosner who retired after 15 glorious years.  Then, opening the new Tasting Room marked a monumental moment, reflecting innovation and forward growth for our company.

With new adventures, comes change.  We promoted three of our Tasting Room Sales Associates Bryanna SchneiderMekayla Dagg and Alex Sarasohn – to Floor Managers & Senior Sales Associates. They were part of the opening team for our new Tasting Room, and they have proven time and time again what incredible assets they are to the company by delivering the best service and wine knowledge to every guest who walks through the door.

In addition, we’ve promoted Emily Martin to become our new full-time Culinary Specialist.  This is a new position for us, and it furthers our commitment to sharing and showcasing the relationship between wine and food.  Emily’s first project will be offering a revamped Kitchen Experience complete with multiple small bite food options paired with our wines.

As we gear up for the summer, we’ll continue adding new team members to offer new hospitality Sokol Blosser has to offer to Oregon wine country. So far, we’ve added Maija Kellner-Rode and Joleen Jin as sales associates, as well as Tyler Bradley and Cameron Smith as sales support.

Other changes we’re thrilled to share:

  • Eileen Wong is heading up the marketing department as Marketing Manager.
  • Emily Zegar is now serving as our Cellar Club & Hospitality Liaison.
  • Tiffany Lenocker, who most recently supported the accounting team, has moved to the direct sales team in a new position as Operations Coordinator.
  • Michele Barry has joined our team as Sales and Accounting Coordinator.

Finally, we’ve filled two positions we’ve had open from the last year on our trade marketing team. Casey Brogdon Leblang, our former Tasting Room Manager, is now a Brand Ambassador and will deliver on-site trade hospitality along with supporting national events throughout the year. Mariano Oliver joins us this month as a Brand Ambassador, supporting the southeast region and select international markets.

Whew! That’s a lot of forward movement for our growing company. It’s an exciting time, and we know with these changes we’ll be able to continue delivering the best hospitality possible to every guest who walks through our door and wine we’re proud of in every restaurant and retail store that carries Sokol Blosser or Evolution.

When you come visit us next time, please say hello and congratulate folks on their new roles. Cheers!
