Harvest update: September 9, 2015

Labor Day weekend kicked off this year’s harvest in the Willamette Valley. The Sokol Blosser team is excited to begin harvest activities for the 2015 vintage!

Alex Sokol Blosser’s Vineyard Report for September 9, 2015:

  • Harvest has officially begun! Over the holiday weekend, we brought in Pinot Gris from our Fir Island Block and Pinot Noir from our Concert Block for our Estate Rosé. Yesterday we started bringing in Pinot Noir from the Northern section of the Concert Block for our Dundee Hills Pinot Noir.
  • The first fruit we brought in this year was on August 19; Müller-Thurgau from our Betty Block for Evolution Brut Sparkling.
  • With the expectation of more hot weather on the way, we anticipate all grapes to be picked by the end of September. We will be picking every day until it rains.
