One of these establishments is Sokol Blosser Winery, founded in 1971 by Bill Blosser and Susan Sokol Blosser. At that time, just a tiny half-handful of families had already expressed early faith in the nascent growing region with their plantings of Pinot Noir and other cool-climate varieties. Bill Blosser credits “pioneer, let’s do this attitude” of his peers for the birth of Oregon’s then-new commercial wine region.”
