NOW HIRING: Events-Hospitality Coordinator

We are looking for an Events-Hospitality Coordinator to join us on our vineyard in Dayton, OR, who is looking for a great opportunity to work in an exciting industry surrounded by wine, food and great people.
Your days can include, but are not limited to:
  • Responding to guests about event and trade reservations
  • Planning and creating exciting food and wine events for both onsite and offsite opportunities
  • Coordinate event rentals, services, tasting & touring experiences and catering menus
  • Plan, coordinate and execute Sokol Blosser events for both Direct and Distributor Sales:
    • Majors: Thanksgiving, Memorial Day and club member events
    • Coordinate a series of trade luncheons at the winery
  • Act as an event sales liaison by touring potential clients through our property
  • Lead service and execution of events and trade including organizing contract labor if needed
  • Communicate with all teams for correspondence, scheduling, marketing, and follow up opportunities after an event or trade visit; including appreciation notes
  • Answer general incoming phones as part of a team
  • General filing and additional duties as assigned
Looking for someone who has:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years administration, events coordination and/or hospitality experience required; experience in food, beverage or hospitality industries a plus
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers in a progressive, workplace performing simultaneous duties with an impeccable personal integrity
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a personable disposition
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and in close working conditions with employees and customers
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 45 pounds
  • High level attention to detail with excellent follow through and reliability
  • Ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and able to qualify for an Oregon Server’s Permit
  • Ability to use MS Outlook, Word and Excel
This position is 40 hours a week primarily M-F, 8:30-5p with adjustments to facilitate events and needs on weekends and holidays.
