I started my culinary career in the kitchens of Detroit, MI in 1997. After a visit to Portland in the spring of ’98, I decided to explore the culinary bounty of the west coast. I spent the following years growing my talents at restaurants such as, Noble Rot, D.O.C., Rocket, Fireside and more recently Crown Paella. I like to embrace the region in my cooking, using local meats, seafood and vegetables. On my days off I enjoy foraging for food with my wife and two children. My love of the outdoors has led me to run a couple of marathons and begin preparing my children to one day hike the PCT.
