Our Baby Vines Are Taking the Heat
Phew! It's been just a little on the warm side here the past few days, with temperatures reaching 102 degrees in our little berg of Dundee, Oregon. So far, our newly planted baby Pinot Noir vines in the Old Vineyard Block have been sturdy against the rising heat - but not the accompanying nightly winds.

Our small Pinot Noir vines have grown a lot with the recent influx of sun, but the strong winds at night have knocked over and broken a few of them. Our vineyard crew has been worked tirelessly all day yesterday to secure by hand the all of the baby vines to small bamboo rods. At 1200 vines per acre... that's a lot of handwork - but it's worth it!
