Summer in the Vineyard and a Weekend BBQ

BlogPic---7-19-06.jpg

Jean-Luc the Pinot Noir vine has returned! Mes amis, I am loving this fine Oregon summer weather. It's very temperate; the perfect environment for growing my delicate Pinot Noir grapes - which, by the way, are getting bigger every day! It won't be long now before they start turning shades of purple. This color change is known to people in the industry as "veraison."

I'm also very excited because this weekend is Sokol Blosser's Evolution BBQ! People from all over are ready to come and enjoy the lovely outdoor atmosphere with me and the great Sokol Blosser staff. There will be tasty BBQ fare from the grill, all of Sokol Blosser's current releases will be available for sampling, and the $10 tasting fee (waived for club members!) includes an Evolution wine glass. I will hope to see you there!

That's all from the vineyard for now. Be sure to check back here often, mes amis, for more updates from the Sokol Blosser estate!
