Drinking at the Pump

Only in Oregon Wine Country- So I cruise into the filling station in McMinnville which is in the heart of Oregon wine country and it is around 8pm or so at night. The pump attendant is a scruffy looking gentleman who quickly takes my credit card and starts filling my car up with gas. He sees that I have a case of Sokol Blosser wine in the back of my car and he says,

"I love Sokol Blosser wines."

"Really," I said in amazement. "You like their Pinot Noir?"

"Never had their Pinot Noir but had their white wines which are sweet and are good for being romantic. I call them romantic wines."

"Right on," I said as I wondered if this guy was for real. And then he went on.

"Yes sireee. I also like the bubbly stuff. I don't drink it that often because I only buy Dom. $79 a bottle at Costco."

That's right folks even the gas attendants in Oregon wine country are into Sokol Blosser wine and over priced French Champagne. What a great country!
